Problem Statement

Sacramento County continues to face a severe homelessness crisis. In 2024, an estimated 6,615 people were experiencing homelessness on any given night, with 59% living unsheltered in tents, vehicles, or outdoors without protection from the elements . This means thousands of residents lack consistent access to food, hygiene supplies, and safe shelter—conditions that significantly increase exposure to trauma, illness, and environmental harm.

Among those counted, 548 were veterans, and nearly 45% were chronically homeless, facing long‑term instability and complex barriers to recovery . Families with children made up 16.7% of the homeless population, and 74% of unsheltered individuals reported being forced to move their sleeping location within the last two months, highlighting the instability and danger of life outdoors .

These conditions make it extremely difficult for individuals to focus on employment, health, safety, or long‑term stability. Without access to basic necessities—such as hygiene items, nutrition, and consistent support—people remain trapped in cycles of crisis.

Our organization is committed to addressing these urgent needs by providing essential resources, non‑clinical support, and strong community partnerships that reduce harm, promote stability, and improve quality of life for those most affected.

Target Population
Our outreach focuses on supporting the unsheltered, mentally ill, addicted, and physically disabled populations living on the sidewalks, or in parks, vehicles, abandoned buildings, or encampments. While we prioritize these vulnerable groups, we serve individuals of all ages, races, colors, religions (creeds), and genders. Our aim is to uplift and empower every person in need, ensuring that no one is left behind, regardless of their circumstances.
